Take a Healing Journey with Me

A Healing Journey—09/12/25

Let’s Walk It Out Together.

We live in a fallen world, and there is no getting around being hurt in some way, form, or fashion.

Currently, I’m dealing with the difficulties of my husband’s illness. The surgery we had hoped would turn things around for him took him in the opposite direction. Seeing him unable to care for himself and not remembering why he is in his current state is hard to accept. So, I have placed myself on a healing journey while we await God’s healing power to overshadow him.

I invite you to come with me. Let's walk this journey together.

Maybe you lost a job or, even worse, a loved one. Perhaps you are dealing with an illness, or the illness of someone close to you.

I am learning that what's around us may not change,

But we have an advocate. We have a light, and it’s not at the end of the tunnel, but it's as close as a prayer. It’s right here, right now.

As believers, we can seek the Holy Spirit’s help. We can go boldly to the throne and ask Jesus to let us think the way He thinks.

And yes, only He can do it.

Our attitude shapes our lives.

Belief gives us the power to change.

I'm walking this journey while believing that God will do it.

There's strenght in numbers. Don't be afraid to tell me, and other, how you are making it on your journey.

Keep praying and keep walking it out.

Journaling Helps

Sometimes finding someone trustworthy to share our thoughts with is difficult. Sharing with Jesus is easy. Grab a notebook and pick up a pen. Jolt down your hurts, pains, heartaches, revelations, and yes, your answered prayers.

God is always listening.

New Reasons To Pray Even More — 10/08/25

As I stated earlier, I'm walking through the journey of my husband's illness. He is currently in a Skilled Center, and sometimes, I deal with the guilt of him being there.

The whole purpose of his being sent to a Skilled Center was for him to receive physical therapy before the operation — a VP shunt. This shunt is supposed to have removed the fluid on his brain that was stealing his mobility.

Well, afterward, his mobility did not return; he actually declined, and appears to continue to do so.

Last week, the supervisor over physical therapy said they were removing him from the therapy program because his health is going down and he refuses to participate.

So, I've taken it upon myself to give him physical therapy. Using weights and a stretchy band, I rotate his arthritic arms and legs. He doesn't like it, but I cannot stand by and do nothing.

I consider this a new reason to pray even more.
