Faith infusing fiction
That is Darlinda Hagens’ primary goal for each story she writes, whether the subject is romance, short stories, or poetry.
She writes about imperfect people who could be any of us. Her protagonists are not superheroes, but they are strong and yet humble. Just as in real life, they encounter situations and mistakes along their journey.
Like some of her characters, Darlinda has learned many lessons to live by. The biggest one she has learned is that God is not Santa Claus. He doesn’t give us everything we ask for. The Lord does not always answer our prayers with a “yes,” no matter how long or fervently we pray. At least not in the way we expect.
Darlinda aims to speak truth in fiction, always knowing God is in control and worthy of our trust and praise, regardless of how He chooses to answer our prayers.
